Sara says: "This is without doubt the heart of the village and was described in one of its nominations as 'more a village centre than just a shop' - you can't put a price on this level of commitment to community". There were no nominations for diversification projects in Buckinghamshire Daily Telegraph Best Traditional Business Parminter and Son (butchers), Haddenham, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Sara says: "This is a true traditional business, having been passed from Simon Parminter's grandfather to his father and then on to him. Advice on how to cook the meat is readily available and Simon's support of his local community can be seen in the way he will donate prizes for school raffles and also will discount food for charity events." |
